Closing 10th

Throughout this year, I was riding a roller coaster. From the days I felt like I accomplished everything to days that I didn’t have any motivation, the sophomore year was the one that brought me both knowledge and insight, as well as moments that will forever be memorable.

As it was the first year for me to take an AP class and first year to be founders and executives in four different clubs/organization, there were definitely a lot of burdens on both of my shoulders, but it was something that I could be proud of.

The new teachers that I met this year also supported and helped me this year. Not only they taught me the subject that I was taking, but they gave me insight that helped me to get a new perspective in this world.

This year was the one that drastically changed my point of view of the world, of the people around me, and of myself. The friend group that I had had gotten smaller than before, and how I should ought to live my life like. But most importantly, I contemplated about who I was. Through studying neuroscience and memory, I learned that memory and experiences that are stored were the ones that shaped the identity I have now. Because I grew up in an environment where I was told to do things and listen to the higher-ups, it stopped me from getting to know myself and who I truly was.

Although I’m still trying to figure out myself and the world, this year truly has brought values into my life that I’m forever grateful for.
