The Dog’s Perspective

I was drenched in cold, dirty water. I shaked my body as hard as I could, but I couldn’t. It stayed in my fur and was stuck between little furs. I was hungry, as well. I hadn’t eaten for a few days. I could feel my body getting lighter every day. I roamed around the area, stepping on pebbles and rocks on the ground.

Suddenly, many cars and vehicles pulled up. I didn’t pay much attention to it, but as it kept closer, I jerked my head toward it. Many humans started to unload the cars. There was a particular man with a red blouse and sunglasses that caught my eye. I wanted to get his attention, so I started whining and trotted toward him.

They were all busy with what they were doing. No one paid attention to me. I stayed still until everyone started to look away from their cars. I was happy that someone else was in this area. I had been with the same people for many years, but this is the first time. I kept my eyes on the red blouse guy and followed what he was doing with my eyes. He finally unloaded the truck and started to look at the surroundings. After a while, he finally spotted me. He walked up and I was so happy that now someone was coming to see me. I wagged my tail and stood up to say ‘Hi’ to him. He lifted me up, though I kept my hind legs on the ground.
