Course Name: Understanding the Brain: The Neurobiology of Everyday Life
This course took me about 3-5 months to finish since I was also prepping for school and SAT.
Through this course, I learned different topics in neuroscience. It’s mostly basic knowledge, but it had application to our lives. Some of the topics that we covered were neural communication, anatomy, perceptions, movements, homeostasis, and more.
Each of the videos explain the basic concepts and some additional information as well as optional videos that shows further explanations about the topic.

I learned the basic mechanism of the brain, such as…
- Perception
- Difference between perception and sensation
- Neuroanatomy
- different parts of the brain and their roles, as well as the diseases that occur in the distinct parts
- Motor Modulation
- cerebellum and basal ganglia working together to create motions and series of actions, adding on to learning
- Memory Formations
- Learn how semantic and episodic differs even though they are both memories
- Homeostasis
- How the brain works to create stability and balance daily even if you are sick
Although it was hard to finish this course since it had 10 units, it was insightful to my understandings of neuroscience and it had helped build up a base of knowledge
